Crime statistics show that violent crimes have decreased in recent years, but incidences of white-collar crimes have increased. The stress of a poor economy is only partly to blame; research has shown over-and-over that the number one reason is a lack of proper oversight.

An often used phrase in criminal, civil, and arbitration cases is "known or should have known." The latter, "should have known" leaves management, the organization and the company somewhat defenseless since it is open to interpretation. Conversely, requesting an evaluation demonstrates proactive steps taken to "be in the know" placing you in a far better position.
